Feral Reads Queer Book Club
🔥 Feral Reads: The Reading Revolution Is Here 🔥
Feral Reads is not your polite little book club. It is loud, it is mobile, and it is unapologetically queer. Each month, we take over a new space, a bookstore, a coffee shop, a library, wherever we are welcome, and invite LGBTQ+ youth ages 14 to 25 to show up, sound off, and talk about books that slap. No rules, no rubrics, no pressure to finish the book. Just real talk, radical reads, and community vibes.
Our first meetup is Sunday, May 26 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Brazos Bookstore, 2421 Bissonnet Street. We are kicking things off with Canto Contigo by Jonny Garza Villa, a tender Tejano love story full of music, memory, and messy queer feels. Come get feral with us, you know you want to. Register now and be part of something bold, bookish, and beautifully queer.

Tony’s Place Young Professionals Happy Hour Sponsored by DragSpace
We are back with our monthly Young Professionals Happy Hour and this time we are heading to everyone’s favorite queer women’s bar, Pearl Bar. It is Steak Night; Julie is firing up the grill; and we will have cocktails, connection, and a drag show that will knock your socks off! From 6:00 to 7:00 PM, join us for a relaxed professionals mixer to meet new folks and connect with the community. Then it is time for a little drag. This month’s show, sponsored by DragSpace, features an all Drag King lineup, with the exception of our fabulous hostess, Tony’s Place’s own resident Drag Queen, Gia Elektra Dion!
Whether you are a valued ERG or BRG partner, a Tony’s Place volunteer, a friend, a community member, or just a professional looking to network, you are welcome. Come meet Tony’s Place staff and board members and make some meaningful connections.
Come make new friends, get your picture taken in front of the photo wall, grab a steak, and support queer youth! All tips from the drag show will go directly to supporting and empowering LGBTQ+ youth at Tony’s Place.
This event is 21+ only.

Craft Your Pride
🌈Craft Your Pride is BACK, babes!🌈
And trust us... you don’t wanna miss this one!
At Tony’s Place, we’re all about building queer joy, chosen fam, and creative freedom. We’re doing it with glitter, paint, markers, and a whole lot of heart. Craft Your Pride is our monthly art night for LGBTQ+ youth ages 14 to 25, and it’s not about being “good at art”; it’s about showing up, vibing out, and making something real with your community.
Here’s the tea:
Every month we feature a different queer artist who pulls up to share their skills and lead a hands-on workshop. This isn’t a lecture. It’s a creative, no-pressure, judgment-free space to explore who you are and connect with other young people who get it!
🖌 New to art? You’re in the right place!
💅 Already making moves? Come flex your creativity!
🎨 Just wanna hang and make cool stuff? Let’s go!
This month, we’re teaming up with our friends at the Bloc Foundation, a powerhouse arts org that knows how to make space for big feelings, bold color, and even bolder ideas. One of their crew will be leading a creative training that brings inspiration, skill, and a whole lot of love.
And yes, there are perks.
🔥 Everyone who joins the May workshop gets a shot at something major:
the chance to apply for our Pride Month Art Showcase in a professional gallery setting, curated in partnership with The Bloc Foundation. This is your moment to have your work featured on gallery walls, celebrated by community, and uplifted during a season that centers queer stories. Not everyone will be selected, but only folks who attend the May session can apply, so if you want in, you’ve got to be there!
✨ And we’re not done:
Craft Your Pride participants will also be invited to apply for the quarterly Queer Youth Art Show at The Feisty Collective, a high-energy, community-powered event where young LGBTQ+ artists can show and sell their work in a boutique setting that gets it. You’ll keep 100% of your sales with no fees, no gatekeeping, and no cut. Just your art, your voice, and your moment to shine!
Worried about what to bring? Don’t!
We’ve got everything covered!
✅Art supplies? Check.
✅Canvases? Yup.
✅Snacks? Obviously.
✅And best believe Charli XCX and our girl Chappell will be blasting while we create, laugh, and turn the volume way up on queer joy and tune out the haters.
📍 Tony’s Place Drop-In Center (Montrose area)

🚨 Space is limited and registration is required, so sign up before it fills up!
The world might be trying to erase queer culture, but we know better. Queer people are culture! The world would be boring without our rainbow, our brilliance, our art, and our joy. So come shine with us!
Let’s get bold.
Let’s get messy.
Let’s get loud.
Let’s get artsy.
We’ll see you there 💖
