Celebrate the launch of The Book Club Was Better, a new book club for movie lovers, with an evening of regency flair in support of Tony’s Place. More Pride, Less Prejudice is a Pride & Prejudice-inspired open-air market, arts showcase, and outdoor movie night benefiting LGBTQ+ youth in Houston.
From 6:00 to 8:00 PM, enjoy a regency-themed craft market with hands-on workshops including bow-making, embroidery, teacup candle making, and fan painting. Shop literary-inspired gifts and indulge in curated bites from Cheaters Creamery, Cupfusion Cupcakery, and local food trucks. The bar will serve themed cocktails and mocktails inspired by Austen’s most iconic characters.
At 8:00 PM, settle in for an outdoor screening of a certain beloved 2005 adaptation of Pride & Prejudice, complete with hand flexes, stormy stares, and Pride & Prejudice Bingo with prizes. Stick around after for a casual Book Club Was Better chat. All readers welcome.
