• 🌈Craft Your Pride is BACK, babes!🌈
And trust us... you don’t wanna miss this one!

At Tony’s Place, we’re all about building queer joy, chosen fam, and creative freedom. We’re doing it with glitter, paint, markers, and a whole lot of heart. Craft Your Pride is our monthly art night for LGBTQ+ youth ages 14 to 25, and it’s not about being “good at art”; it’s about showing up, vibing out, and making something real with your community.

    Here’s the tea:
Every month we feature a different queer artist who pulls up to share their skills and lead a hands-on workshop. This isn’t a lecture. It’s a creative, no-pressure, judgment-free space to explore who you are and connect with other young people who get it!

🖌 New to art? You’re in the right place!
💅 Already making moves? Come flex your creativity!
🎨 Just wanna hang and make cool stuff? Let’s go!

This month, we’re teaming up with our friends at the Bloc Foundation, a powerhouse arts org that knows how to make space for big feelings, bold color, and even bolder ideas. One of their crew will be leading a creative training that brings inspiration, skill, and a whole lot of love.

    And yes, there are perks.

🔥 Everyone who joins the May workshop gets a shot at something major: the chance to apply for our Pride Month Art Showcase in a professional gallery setting, curated in partnership with The Bloc Foundation. This is your moment to have your work featured on gallery walls, celebrated by community, and uplifted during a season that centers queer stories. Not everyone will be selected, but only folks who attend the May session can apply, so if you want in, you’ve got to be there!

    ✨ And we’re not done:
Craft Your Pride participants will also be invited to apply for the quarterly Queer Youth Art Show at The Feisty Collective, a high-energy, community-powered event where young LGBTQ+ artists can show and sell their work in a boutique setting that gets it. You’ll keep 100% of your sales with no fees, no gatekeeping, and no cut. Just your art, your voice, and your moment to shine!

Worried about what to bring? Don’t!
    We’ve got everything covered!

    Art supplies? Check.
    Canvases? Yup.
    Snacks? Obviously.
✅And best believe Charli XCX and our girl Chappell will be blasting while we create, laugh, and turn the volume way up on queer joy and tune out the haters.

The world might be trying to erase queer culture, but we know better. Queer people are culture! The world would be boring without our rainbow, our brilliance, our art, and our joy. So come shine with us!

    Let’s get bold.
    Let’s get messy.
    Let’s get loud.
    Let’s get artsy.

    We’ll see you there 💖

  • Once a month, Tony’s Place transforms into a vibrant, joy-filled art space where LGBTQ+ youth ages 14 to 25 come together to create, connect, and just be. Craft Your Pride is our monthly drop-in art night, and it’s all about self-expression, community, and making a little bit of beautiful, glittery chaos.

There’s no pressure to be “good at art.” Whether someone’s painting for the first time or filling sketchbooks on the daily, there’s a place for them at the table. We provide all the supplies, good music, snacks, and the kind of vibe that makes it easy for young people to show up as their full, authentic self.

    Why It Matters:

Craft Your Pride is designed to offer more than just an art night; it is a space where LGBTQ+ youth can connect with peers, foster creativity, develop new skills, heal, and feel empowered. We recognize that young people need more than resources; they need spaces that affirm their identities, celebrate their creativity, and allow them to explore who they are without fear or judgment.

Through monthly workshops, community-building, and connection to support systems, Craft Your Pride helps build confidence, strengthen well-being, and reduce negative mental health outcomes such as stress, anxiety, and depression. It is a joyful, welcoming space that supports the whole person, and it all starts with making something together.

    What’s Provided:
Each Craft Your Pride session is fully stocked with a wide range of supplies, including paints, canvases, markers, colored pencils, bracelet-making materials, drawing paper, and more. We make sure the environment feels joyful, well-resourced, and welcoming. Light snacks and beverages are always available to keep everyone comfortable and energized while they create.

    Creative Flexibility
Each month features a guided art project led by a local LGBTQ+ artist or creative partner, and the project is announced in advance so participants know what to expect. That said, youth are never limited to one activity. They are encouraged to explore any medium that speaks to them. Whether it is painting, knitting, collage, writing, or something uniquely their own, all forms of creative expression are welcome. Participants are also free to bring their own materials if they have something specific in mind. The goal is to nurture creativity on each person’s terms in a space that celebrates individuality.

    And yes, there are perks.
Participants get access to curated art workshops led by local LGBTQ+ artists, free art supplies, music, snacks, and plenty of space to create. Select sessions also open the door to special opportunities like gallery showcases, community art markets, and one-on-one mentorship. These aren’t just extras; they are real chances for LGBTQ+ youth to be seen, celebrated, and supported through their art.

    Can Parents Attend?
To maintain a safe and affirming space for our youth, only background-checked volunteers, staff members, and registered participants are permitted inside the center during Craft Your Pride. We understand that parents and caregivers may have questions or want to connect beforehand. If you would like to speak with a staff member or schedule a brief conversation prior to the event, please email us at info@tonysplace.org. We are happy to connect.
